Katherine Teh-White will be speaking on managing conflicts and developing mutually beneficial outcomes for multiple land use.

Multiple land use is increasingly an important consideration for mining given increasing demand for resources, limitations on supply of agricultural land, interest from communities on how land is used and regional diversification strategies as well as regional development strategies. Hear what the emerging set of expectations are for mining companies to manage the conflicts of multiple land use so you can be better prepared for the challenges.

Katherine will be sitting on the panel for the Brand Integrity and the Green Economy session at the Futures Summit this May.

Katherine will be discussing the following;

‘Going green’ is increasingly becoming the point of difference in products and services on the market. Many companies are developing green campaigns, but without the proper regulatory measures, there is a danger that these amount to little more than a "green washing" tool.

Consumers are fast becoming more savvy about corporations that lay claim to environmental practices and will demand evidence of such claims. It is important that the shift of consumer preferences towards environmentally friendly products and services is supported through proper regulatory frameworks that instil trust in emerging green products and services whilst ensuring they are affordable and effective.

How will sustainability redefine the relationship with the customer and what does a sustainable brand look like?
How can customers be involved in a company’s transition to a more sustainable model and remain connected over the life of the product?
How does sustainability add to an organization’s shareholder value?
