Piers Gillespie
Futureye Associate

Piers has worked in Indonesia for many years providing strategic counsel and crisis management to many of the world’s largest multinationals and national governments.  His work has been particularly useful for corporations, communities and governments alike within the vagaries of the high risk, high return Indonesian business environment.  He has also worked with the highest levels of the Indonesian government on matters of high sensitivity, including leading the Indonesian government’s immediate crisis communications response to the Bali and Marriot bombings and other critical government issues.

Piers also assisted in the UN-led Humanitarian Pause in Aceh in 2000, and has been awarded in both New York and Hong Kong for the work he has done in Indonesia.  He has significant experience working with clients in the fields of mining and natural resources, energy, banking, telecommunications, pulp and paper, and palm oil.
